Dr. Tonnessen is a cardiologist at Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates. He completed his medical residency in internal medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine at Seton Hall University where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Tonnessen is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and vascular medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology. He is the founder of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Hunterdon Medical Center.
