He received a Bachelors of Art, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University in New York City along with a Doctorate of Medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He completed his residency training at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and his cardiology fellowship at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Kutscher is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He serves on the Cardiovascular Health Advisory Panel for the State of New Jersey. He is also a member of the Council of the American Heart Association on Clinical Cardiology. Dr Kutscher was chosen as a “Best Doctor” in 2011 by NJ Savvy Magazine.
Dr. Kutscher has served as Mayor of Flemington, NJ from 1994-2005. His memoir, Watching Walter Cronkite, Reflections on Growing Up in the 1950s and 1960s, was published in 2009.
