Dr. Parikh completed his residency training in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in New Jersey. In 2007 he did a cardiovascular research post doctorial fellowship, followed by his cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Seton Hall completed in 2011. He held the position of Associate Chief Medical Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow during his training. Currently, Dr. Parikh serves as the President of the Hunterdon County Medical Society and the Vascular Imaging Director with Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates.
Dr. Parikh is certified in CBCCT, which validates his expertise and knowledge in the field of cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) and demonstrates his commitment to providing excellent healthcare. He has publications in the Clinical Cardiology, Echocardiography, Texas Heart Institute Journal, Coronary Artery Disease, Journal of Emergency Medicine and many more.
In 2014 Dr. Parikh received the Recognition of Excellence award in the teaching family practice residency program. In 2015, he became the Director of Echocardiography at Diagnostic Imaging Center, Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. Dr. Parikh was practicing at Intermountain Medical Group/ Wilkes Barre General Hospital as a non-invasive cardiologist in Kingston, Pennsylvania for the last seven years before he joined Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates in September of 2018. Dr. Parikh is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, vascular studies, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Parikh is also fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
Dr. Parikh and his wife have two children. He enjoys reading, working out at the gym, playing golf and table tennis.
