Dr. Elnahar Named 2022 New Jersey Choice Top Doctor

Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates (HCA) is proud to announce that Dr. Yaser Elnahar was named a New Jersey Choice Top Doctor for 2022.
For this year’s list of Top Doctors, New Jersey Monthly enlisted the help of Leflein Associates to conduct an independent survey to find out who are the top doctors. A total of 25,431 New Jersey-based doctors were invited to complete a survey to recommend the “physicians they would choose to treat their own family members.” Overall, 355 mail and 3,812 web responses were received. After a thorough review, 3,293 responses were validated for use in the survey. Doctors with sufficient votes were placed on a preliminary list.
Next, a panel of 24 doctors, who won last year’s contest, reviewed the preliminary list. The panel determined the final list of 1,062 Top Doctors, representing 73 medical specialties. This is Dr. Elnahar’s third time winning this award for his superior expertise in cardiology. Other acknowledgments include being named Hunterdon Happening’s Best Cardiologist of 2021, an award chosen by the community to honor the extraordinary people that make Hunterdon County special. This was his third win in the past four years.
Board-certified in cardiovascular disease, Dr. Elnahar has a distinguished career in medicine. He graduated with his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He then pursued residency training in Internal Medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Upon successful completion, he went on to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where he completed his Cardiology Fellowship, becoming the Chief Cardiology Fellow in 2012.
He belongs to the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Cardiology. He also has several publications that can be found in the Journal of Atrial Fibrillation, the Journal of Clinical Medicine and Research, Reports in Medical Imaging, and more. In addition, Dr. Elnahar is fluent in Arabic and Spanish.
